Our History
Earl and Ilah Schmieding opened Rainbow Carwash in 1977. Under their leadership, the small business grew into a carwash and detail service the whole community could enjoy. With the help of their children, grandchildren and in-laws, the car wash continues to thrive today. Earl and Ilah still oversee operations at the carwash daily — say hi next time you stop in!
Now, Brian Durfery, Earl and Ilah’s grandson, manages day-to-day functions at the carwash while the rest of the family helps with payroll, marketing and special projects.
